That gives you the better control of your car to face any situation ahead. It makes you have nice smooth turn while driving in the sharp turn instead of having over controlling and weaving drive.
  3. Stay clear of blind zone and know what is in your blind zone – This is the driving skill you can practice every day and it will be your second nature while driving. This is a very simple but very effective way of avoiding many unnecessary troubles in your day-to-day driving. Practice it.
  4. Look cars ahead in distance – We tend to focus on cars in our surroundings. That is natural. But it is a good driving practice to look ahead in advance and observe the situation so that you can have good understanding of the road situation and to take control before situation turn bad.
  5. Get up to speed while merging with traffic – While merging to the highway you need to have the same speed as the highway has. You should use the merging lane to take be in the same speed as the highway before merging so that you merge smoothly, easily, and safely and avoid the possible hazard.
  6. Go easy on brakes while slowing down – Always keep sufficient distance in front of your car. You do not need to brake hard to stop the car. Read the speed of the car ahead and prepare for yourself by reducing your speed and breaking slowly and smoothly. That not only help you to have a controlled driving but also help to save gas mileage.
  7. Practice parking – Parking is not interesting. But knowing how to park in different road situation and parking condition is a must-know for all drivers. The basic parking skills for parallel parking, perpendicular parking, up-hill, and down-hill parking. Always check the surrounding carefully, control your speed, look back time-to-time in a busy area to assess the situation and always take sufficient time while parking.
  8. Practice reversing – Reversing is a skill you like to master. This not only improve your driving confidence but also help you have a better driving control. Find a nice safe road and practice reversing. Also, you should be always very careful while reversing at any time. Observe the surrounding carefully or even ask someone to help you observe if the area is busy. This helps you to avoid nasty situation.
  9. Patience – Patience is one the most important traits of a skillful driver. Instead of driving in high speed and rushing and racing your car it is a good habit to start a few minutes earlier. That gives you sufficient time to overcome any unexpected road situation. While entering in the t-section or being stuck in the traffic, have a good patience and that will always pay off.
